Within the scope of policies that are increasingly attentive to reducing the release of chemical agents into the environment, as of January 2014, a new EURO VI regulation came into effect which will become compulsory as of January 2016. Upgrading of light and heavy vehicles to the regulation has brought about the development of techniques to control and reduce the emission of airborne pollutants. Among these, the most common solution is certainly the use of AdBlue. AdBlue is a registered trademark (by VDA) that stands for AUS32 (Aqueous Urea Solution 32.5%). With time it has become the name used internationally to define an additive developed for the chemical and vehicle industries. AdBlue is an extremely pure 32.5% aqueous urea solution, which by chemical reduction, turns nitrogen oxides into elementary gaseous nitrogen (N2) and water (H2O). AdBlue is a synthetic, colourless and odourless product; it is not a dangerous substance and is not inflammable or toxic. This additive guarantees three targets: it improves engine performance, reduces consumption and considerably cuts exhaust fume emissions produced by vehicles fitted with diesel engines. It is an additive that allows new generation vehicles to comply with the emission limits provided by strict European Union regulations. The presence of AdBlue® in our service stations further testifies the great and continuous effort dedicated to improving the quality of service and products on offer, to meet the requirements of every engine and every vehicle while at the same time protecting the environment. The AdBlue tank (standard capacity tanks: 60 litres, 45 and 120 litres also available) is located on the right, between the fender and the fuel tank. The diameter of the filler pipe is sufficiently reduced to avoid the accidental introduction of the diesel fuel pump nozzle. The end of the AdBlue pump nozzle is equipped with a valve which is released by a magnet located at the tank inlet. Therefore, AdBlue cannot be poured by mistake into another tank (for example, the main diesel fuel tank). This is why Compo Tech Co. has especially developed NYOMAG. NyoMag is a ring made of sintered neodymium subjected to a special anti-corrosion treatment to guarantee durability and high performance. The ring is applied inside the neck of the tank while it is being rotationally moulded, or in the AdBlue Kit consisting in a nozzle and  an inlet device to be secured to the neck of the tank.
